Everything you need to know about paediatric chiropractic

The first paediatric chiropractic visit will be the longest. One thing that your chiropractor check is your child’s milestone such as: ⁣⁣

1. 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝: Your baby should be able to hold his neck at 4-6 months. There is a simple test called Pull to Sit that your health practitioner can do to test for head lag. Your chiropractor can indicate weak neck muscles and give you some strategies to strengthen those muscles ⁣⁣

2. 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠: Your baby should be able to roll back to front and front to back by 4 -6 month of age. Rolling is the best exercise for our babies vestibular system ( AKA Nervous System) ⁣⁣

3. 𝐏𝐮𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲: that’s the beginning stage for the little one to start crawling. They need strong quads to be able to have a perfect crawl. You can simply put your thumb on their feet and see if they push you away. You can practice that with putting them on their back and place a ballon close to their feet and they start pushing the balloon and have a bicycle motion with their legs⁣⁣

👶 𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭: if you have stairs, you can start putting them on the stairs. Start going up. They naturally hold their head up, their weight bearing and they start to push away! You can start as early as 5-6 months ⁣⁣
